Biography
Scarlet Peterson is a first year PhD student in French Linguistics at UIUC. She earned a B.A in French Studies and a B.S. in Microbiology from Brigham Young University in 2019, followed by a MA in Applied French Linguistics from UIUC in 2023. Currently, her interests lie in sociolinguistics (with an emphasis on sociophonetics), code-switching, and regional/minority languages.
